BLACKPINK JISOO’s new mini-album AMORTAGE, released on the 14th, along with its title track earthquake and other songs like Your Love, TEARS, and Hugs & Kisses, has been achieving remarkable success across all music platforms worldwide.
Right after its release, AMORTAGE consistently topped the Worldwide Albums Chart and ranked No. 1 on iTunes in over 39 countries. On Spotify, the album garnered over 5 million streams on its first day, pushing earthquake onto the Spotify Global Chart.
On album sales charts, AMORTAGE quickly secured the No. 1 spot on the Hanteo Chart and set a new record for the highest first-day sales by a solo artist in Korea this year.
The earthquake music video, released alongside the album, soared to No. 1 on YouTube’s trending music rankings, rapidly accumulating views. Short-form videos shared on platforms like TikTok have also gained immense attention, leading JISOO’s TikTok account to surpass 7 million followers in record time for a female Korean artist.
AMORTAGE is a combination of “AMOR” (love) and “MONTAGE,” symbolizing how different fragments of love come together to form a complete story. JISOO participated in writing the lyrics for all the tracks, portraying the emotions felt throughout the journey of love, much like a romantic movie.
